2026 IRSCL Mentoring Program
IRSCL mentorship program description
The IRSCL invites early career researchers in children's literature studies (including undergraduate students and recent PhD graduates) to apply and benefit from the expertise and guidance of experienced IRSCL members, who have built an academic career in the field. In 2026, we are offering 20 mentee places, which we will make every effort to allocate by matching the mentees’ needs with the mentors’ expertise.
If you are interested in participating in the program as a mentee or a mentor, please complete this form by January 5th, 2026. Mentor-mentee collaborations will run from February 1st to November 1st 2026.

Mentorship participation information
Languages: We are pleased to offer mentoring in multiple languages. In 2024 we were able to offer mentoring in English, Chinese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, German, Polish, and Italian.
Guidelines: In supporting mentors and mentees to build intentional, inspiring, and achievable collaborations, we ask prospective participants to read the IRSCL Mentorship Guidelines and Agreement carefully before applying.
Certification: At the end of the cycle, mentors and mentees will be issued certificates acknowledging their participation in the program.
Membership required: Please note that up to date IRSCL membership is required to participate in the mentorship program.
