IRSCL Mentoring Programme
Programme description
The IRSCL invites early career researchers in children's literature studies (including undergraduate students and recent PhD graduates) to apply and benefit from the expertise and guidance of experienced IRSCL members, who have built an academic career in the field. In 2026, we offered 25 mentee places, making every effort to allocate by matching the mentees’ needs with the mentors’ expertise.
If you are interested in participating in the programme as a mentee or a mentor, please complete this form by February 1st, 2027. Mentor-mentee collaborations will run from February 1st to November 1st.

Participation information
Languages: We are pleased to offer mentoring in multiple languages. In the past we have been able to offer mentoring in English, Chinese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, German, Polish, and Italian.
Guidelines: In supporting mentors and mentees to build intentional, inspiring, and achievable collaborations, we ask prospective participants to read the IRSCL Mentoring Guidelines and Agreement carefully before applying.
Certification: At the end of the cycle, mentors and mentees will be issued certificates acknowledging their participation in the programme.
Membership required: Please note that up to date IRSCL membership is required to participate in the mentoring programme.
